From "A Quiet Word"

This one was in the local paper written by George Deeble a Pastor in this area. He calls his column A Quiet Word. Receive & give love through life. Should real men cry? I think I have found the test. My grandcildren have a story book called “Love you forever” which I challenge even the toughest man to read without getting a lump in his throat. it is a simple story that starts with a mother rocking her new-born baby son and singing the following song – “I’ll love you forever, I’ll like you for always, as long as I’m living my baby you’ll be.” The story progresses through stages of his life and towards the end we see him cradling his frail, dying mother in his arms singing the same sweet song. Throughout his life, he gave and received love. It is a happy story with a happy ending, because on the last page we see him holding his own daughter singing the song. Quite a nice story but we may need the tissues again !!!

I know that book, Merle, and it is a sweet tear-jerker.

It sounds like a lovely story, I'm a sucker for tear jerkers.

Your jokes were really funny too and I loved what was posted in the mammogram clinic. I'm copying that one...

Happy New Year!

Hi Merle, was this the total article or a summary?
