Shepparton's Cows

Some of the cows that are scattered around Shepparton. Among many other things Shep is a dairying area, so the cows were adopted as a sort of emblem. This picture shows "How Now Brown Cow" and the Zebra one along with many of their friends. Sorry I don't have a picture of the new Zaidee cow, as it wasn't there when I took these photos. (Shh, Peter here sneaking some more pics onto Merles site, don't tell her will you.)

Hi Peter ~~ Thank you so much for posting these photos. I thought about asking you to, but didn't want to be a nuisance. At least it proves you read my posts. My computer does not want to cooperate today opening comments, so I'll say here The wild flowers look great, so NOW what will you come up with. Not our fauna, surely.
Cheers, and thanks, Merle.

Those cows are very amusing.
I recently saw funny colored giant fish in a neighboring city.
In Lexington, Ky. where they are known for race horses they have painted horses like your cows.
In our city they have giant painted hands...this is supposed to signify the "helping hand."

Merle (and Peter )

The cows look great! :)

I'm gonna try and dig my horse pics out soon and post some of them! Our Art Horse project was called 'Horse Fever!'
It was quite a big deal! It was interesting as they had the horses in 2 different poses...one grazing-the other standing with head up! It was amazing some of the ideas the artists came up with!

The city of Orlando did their city in lizards! :) My daughter and family live down there! And Gainesville did Gators!

Merle...My husband & I went out in search of the "Helping Hands" today with no luck...Apparently our city takes them up for the winter months and hasn't put them out on display yet. I will take a picture of them as soon as they are placed back onto their concrete pedistals.

I love these cows. We had them over here for a while in Rochester and NY City among other places. I wonder if it's the same exhibition being moved to other countries now.
I've enjoyed reading your jokes and all. The blondes on the bus joke is hilarious :)
I'm visiting you via Sandy's site (Abandoned In Pasadena).
Hope you have a lovely holiday! Happy Easter!
