Good Morning.

Hi there ~~ I hope everyone is well and happy.

I have been for my shopping trip and all the food

is put away. I will probably have a cooking day

tomorrow, now I am all stocked up with food.

My supplies were getting low, so I am glad to

have fresh vegies again, in particular. Love my

vegetables, and yes I did buy icecreams!!!!

This is a lovely little poem sent to me by Sandy

aka abandonedinpasadena

I hope you like it.

Good Morning !!!!

This morning when I wakened And saw the sun above, I softly said, "Good morning, Lord, Bless everyone I love."

Right away I thought of you And said a loving prayer, That He would bless you specially, And keep you free from care.

I thought of all the happiness A day could hold in store, I wished it all for you because No one deserves it more.

I felt so warm and good inside, My heart was all aglow. I know God heard my prayers for you, He hears them all, you know.

This was sent to me by Sandy of Pasadena

in an e-mail ( and comment) April 2006-04-29.

And a joke to finish:…

.

A local business looking for office staff put a sign in the window: “Help wanted, must be able to type, must be good with a computer and must be bilingual. We are an equal opportunity employer.”

A little later a dog trotted up, saw the sign and went inside.

He looked at the receptionist and wagged his tail. then walked

over to the sign and whined.

The receptionist got the manager, who looked at the dog and was surprised to say the least. But the dog looked determind, so the manager led him to the office, where the dog jumped up on the chair and stared at the manager.

“I can’t hire you,” the manager said. “The sign says you have to be able to type.”

The dog jumped down, went to the typewriter and proceeded

to type out a perfect letter.

He took out the page and trotted over to the manager and gave

it to him, then jumped back on the chair.

The manager was stunned, but then told the dog, “The sign

says you have to be good with a computer.”

The dog jumped down again and went to the computer, where

he showed off his expertise with various programs, produced

a sample spreadsheet and database, and presented them to

the manager.

By this time the manager was totally dumbfounded.

He looked at the dog and said, “I realise that you are a very

intelligent dog and have some interesting abilities.

However I still can’t give you the job.”

The dog jumped down and went to a copy of the sign and put his paw on the sentences

about being an equal opportunity employer.

“Yes, but the sign also says that you have to be bilingual,” the

manager said.

The dog looked him straight in the eye and said : “Meow.”

What a sweet poem!

And I love your jokes!!!!

Glad you have icecream!!! Any orange sherbert? Rocky road? Vanilla caramel?
Marble? What's your favorite? Butternut pecan?

I like just plain vanilla and I add my own toppings. Caramel is my favorite!

It's a good feeling to shop and get it all put away; you feel as if you could weather any storm.

I love that joke about the dog and I can't stop laughing!!!! I didn't see the "Meow" coming and I may have to copy that and send it to my son.

I have another little inspirational thing for you Merle that I received in an email that I thought you might like...and thanks for giving me "top billing."

Good food for thought...

I do like my veggies very much - but I usually have ice cream available as well - could that be the best of both worlds? ec

Hi Merle,

I'm glad you got your shopping done, as that can be a big job. Being gone on your trip you had probable needed to buy everything again fresh.

I loved the prayer, and the dog joke--LOL!
