The Donkey

My City of Shepparton has been in the news again this week.

On Tuesday night a local 21 year old girl, named Amanda Garner

and her partner Grant Denyer won the “Dancing with the stars”

A competitive show on TV. Amanda and her brother Peter have

won numerous dance competitions all over the world.

She was the trainer for Grant, who is a weather-man and so

is considered a celebrity. They looked wonderful dancing all

the various dances. Amanda and Peter are going to England

very soon to compete there.

<><><>

Then last night, a Shepparton mother was chosen Mother of the Year.

She has 6 children and 8 grandchildren and cares for a child with a severe

diability. She has worked with disabled children for 15 years, and last year

she donated a kidney to one of her sons. She was chosen Mother of the

year in Victoria, but last night Australian Mother of the year.

<><><><>

I wont mention that about 5 people were charged with drug

offenses. Growing and possessing Marijuana and other drugs.

We can’t win them all !!!

<><><><><> My story tonight is called ~ The Donkey. <><><>

One day a farmer’s donkey fell down a well. The animal cried piteously for hours as the farmer tried to figure out what to do.

Finally, he decided the animal was old, and the well needed to be covered up anyway; it just wasn’t worth it to retrieve the donkey.

<><><>

He invited all his neighbors to come over to help him.

They all grabbed a shovel and began to shovel dirt into

the well. At first, the donkey realised what was happening and

cried horribly. Then to everyone’s amazement he quietened down.

<><><><>

A few shovel loads later, the farmer finally looked down the

well. He was astonished at what he saw. With each shovel

of dirt that hit his back, the donkey was doing something

amazing. He would shake it off and take a step up.

<><><><>

As the farmer’s neighbors continued to shovel dirt on top of

the animal, he would shake it off and take a step up. Pretty

soon everyone was amazed as the donkey stepped up over the

edge of the well and happily trotted off !

<><><><>

Life is going to shovel dirt on you, all kinds of dirt. The trick

to getting out of the well is to shake it off and take a step up,

Each of our troubles is a stepping-stone. We can get out of

the deepest wells just by not stopping, never giving up !

Shake it off and take a step up.

<><><><>

Remember the five simple rules to be happy:

1. Free your heart from hatred – Forgive.

2. Free your mind from worries – Most never happen.

3. Live simply and appreciate what you have.

4. Give more.

5. Expect less.

<><><><>

NOW ~~ Enough of that crap. . . .

<><><><>

The donkey later came back, and bit the s**t out of the

farmer who had tried to bury him. The gash from the bite

got infected, ad the farmer eventually died in agony from

septic shock.

<><><><>

MORAL FROM TODAY’S LESSON:

When you do something wrong, and try to cover your ass,

it always comes back to bite you.

<><><><> Another suspect joke for you.

There were three men stranded on an island with a dead

body. Their only source of food was the body.

They agreed to share it, but had to choose what body part

to eat, depending on what soccer team they supported.

<><><>

The Manchester United fan said he would have the chest.

The Liverpool fan thought it a bit extreme, but he knew

what he had to do.

<><><>

The Arsenil fan said he wasn’t hungry.

Yes I know ~~ Not very nice.

<><><>

Thought for the day : The future masters of technology

will have to be light-hearted and intelligent.

The machine easily masters the grim and the dumb.

Marshall McLuhan, Canadan communications theorist.

<><><><>

Tell a man there are 300 billion stars in the sky and he’ll

believe you. Tell him a bench has wet paint on it and he will

have to touch it to be sure.

<><><><>

To err is human, but to really foul things up requires

a computer.

<><><><>

After all is said and done, a hell of a lot more is said

than done.

"Each of our troubles is a stepping-stone."

It is too bad that we can't all see it that way all the time!
