I Wish I Had.

Hi Everyone ~~ Nice to be back with you again and I hope you like the article below. I plan to post a recipe next time for the Dumplings, I mentioned in the last post.

Thanks for all your comments about it sounding good etc.

<><><><> I Wish I Had <><><><>

I wish I had a foot large enough to stamp out injustice;

A fist big enough to knock out my own self-opinion;

And a heart big enough to accept true Judgement;

A mind broad enough to accept man as he is …..

But a desire to show him a better way.

A tolerant sympathy for the narrow-minded;

Clear vision to see my own short-comings;

And a simple, unquestioning faith in the unknown.

A heart strong enough to take life as it comes

And a determination to stick to what is right.

Eyes to see the road to self-improvement;

Two arms strong enough to hold many sorrows;

And an understanding of life’s disappointments

To hold my ideals high enough to keep me humble

And strong enough to keep me true.

I am sure you have all seen the Adoption Prayer before, but it is very meaningful to a lot of us.

Not flesh of my flesh,

Nor bone of my bone, But still miraculously my own ….

Never forget, for a single minute.

You did not grow under my heart……

But in it !!

<><><> Some unusual Facts <><><>

Apples, not caffeine, are more efficient at waking you up in the morning.

Alfred Hitchcock did not have a belly button.

People do not get sick from cold weather; it’s from being indoors a lot more.

When you sneeze, all bodily functions stop…..even your heart. This is why people have always said “God bless you” after a sneeze.

Only 7 % of the population are lefties.

Babies are born without knee caps. They don’t appear until they are 2 –4 years old.

The average person over 50 will have spent 5 years waiting in line.

The toothbrush was invented in 1498.

The average housefly lives for one month.

The average computer user blinks 7 times a minute.

Prince Charles and Prince William NEVER travel on the same airplane, just in case there is a crash.

If coloring was not added to Caca Cola, it would be green.

Humphrey Bogart and Princess Diana were seventh cousins.

The first Harley Davidson motorcycle built in 1903 used a tomato can for a carburetor.

Your feet are bigger in the afternoon than the rest of the day.

<><><><> QUOTE OF THE WEEK <><><><>

There will be times when aspects of your life appear to run off the rails. Mistakes, calamities, and transgressions.

But the beauty of life is that there is always another chance; you can make a fresh start any moment you choose.

As Mary Pickford once said, “This thing we call failure is not the falling down, but the staying down.”

An uncle used to tell me “It’s not how you fall, but how you get up.” Same thing.

Bye for now. Jokes next time. <><>

I like the "wish I had" post. I always enjoy self diagnosis. The best judge and the hardest judge of me is me. Enjoy your day and take time out to see if that friend knows you love them?

Hi Merle,

Our first car when my husband and I got married had a "can" in it too, it was a pinto.

I loved the adoption poem and I copied and pasted it into my word program, so I can print it up for a friend of mine who is adopted.
