Try Again.

Howdy People ~~ I was so disappointed with my last post and

I do hope this one turns out better. I am even going to do the

little 8 line verse again to see if it improves. Thank to all who

read it and left comments anyway.

<><><> A little poem called “If I Knew.” <><><>

If I knew that a word of mine,

A word not kind or true,

Might leave it’s trace on a loved one’s face,

I wouldn’t speak harshly, would you ?

<><><><>

If I knew the light of a smile

Might linger the whole day through,

And lighten some heart with a heavier part,

I wouldn’t withhold it, would you ?

<><><><>

This is supposed to be an actual Court Document.

A lady about 8 months pregnant got on a bus.

She noticed the man opposite her was smiling at her.

She immediately moved to another seat.

This time the smile turned into a grin, so she moved

again. The man seemed more amused. When on the

fourth move, the man burst out laughing. She complained

to the driver and he had the man arrested.

The case came up in court.

The judge asked the man (about 20 years old), what he had

to say for himself.

The man replied, “ Well your Honor, it was like this:

When the lady got on the bus, I couldn’t help but notice her

condition. She sat under a sweets sign that said, “ The

Double Mint Twins are Coming” and I smiled.

Then she moved and sat under a sign that said, “Logan’s

Liniment will reduce the swelling” and I had to grin.

Then she placed herself under a deodorant sign that said,

“William’s Big Stick Did the Trick” and I could hardly

contain myself. But, your Honor, when she moved the fourth

time and sat under a sign that said, “Goodyear Rubber

could have prevented this Accident”… I just lost it.”

CASE DISMISSED !!!

sideways.

He that plant trees loves others beside himself. Thomas Fuller.

Beauty without virtue is like a rose without a scent. Danish Prov.

<><><><>

no matter what our station in life is…

we are all the same…

we all need love…

we all need one another…

we all need the touch of another person…

we all need to know we are valuable to this world.

we all need to know that we contribute to the greater good

of the whole, no matter how small one might

think that contribution.

<><><> Bye for now. See you next time, Merle. <><><>

Hi Merle...the court document was cute and well as the joke in your previous post about the cab driver. It's a good way to start a Monday morning, by laughing at your jokes.

I always drop by (almost daily, tho times I don't have time to post a comment---)

Anyway, I just adore your blog. I don't understand how you were upset with what you had....but I'm blond and blonds sometimes don't 'get things' *giggles*

But I DO ENJOY whatever you have for us!! The calendar saying, the jokes (by the way the goodyear rubber was a laugh!! Laughter is so good for the soul), your recipes....everything you have is fabulous.

Happy Monday.

Hi Merle,
Sorry I haven't been by lately ... I have lurked, but not commented ... been ultra busy, having quick reads here and there, but no time to comment.
Anyway, great post, love the verse.
Hope you have a great week.
Is it really foggy out your way today (Tuesday)?? It is 12 noon-ish, and it still hasn't lifted here in Wantirna !!!
Take care, Meow
